About WOSOC

WOSOC is the official student society for the Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies (WOS) in the University of Sydney's Business School. At WOSOC we are focused on connecting students interested in the fields of Industrial Relations (IR), Human Resource Management (HRM) and Management with like-minded students and industry professionals. WOSOC aims to enrich the student experience by providing a platform for students to gain insights into Work and Organisational Studies and expand their professional network. We are open to any and all students! Watch the video below to learn more about WOSOC.

CAREERS

Building on the success of previous WOSOC careers events, whilst working hand in hand with the University of Sydney’s Careers Centre, the Careers and Employer Relations Office and Sydney Talent, WOSOC continues to provide its members valuable opportunities. These opportunities aim to enrich and further develop member’s business skills, interview and assessment centre preparation as well as occasions to engage in networking, mature their leadership and teamwork skills. The Careers Directors endeavour to deliver these opportunities alongside with the support and guidance of Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations and Management industry professionals.

WOSOC aims to further develop relationships with other University of Sydney Business School societies and hopes to engage in joint events. We are actively looking to partner with other organisations who share our vision. Please feel free to contact us via email or our Facebook page for any ideas or suggestions you may have.

SOCIAL

We invite WOSOC members to join us at a number of social events held throughout each semester. In the past, WOSOC has held numerous casual BBQs, morning teas and social dinners for members and students within the Work and Organisational faculty.

A number of fellow Business School societies hold larger events such as balls, interfaculty sporting days and trivia nights which we aim to support and will share this information to our members. We hope that we might soon be able to hold much larger and engaging social events of our own soon! The executives at WOSOC are looking forward to meeting new members or students simply interested in meeting some new friends that might have similar interests. We encourage you to come along and bring your friends to our events throughout the year, with information being posted on Facebook and through our newsletter each week.
